Privacy Policy


Your privacy is very important to us and we are committed to protecting your information while we perform repairs and work to your device. JML Technologies, LLC will never willfully disclose any personally identifiable information (name, mailing address, email address, telephone number, etc.) about our customers to any third party without first receiving the customer's permission. The purpose of this privacy policy is to inform you what personal information we may collect from you, how we use such information, and how we will protect the information we collect.


Collecting Information
JML Technologies, LLC employees will not access any personal identifying or financial information within the customer's computer that is outside the scope of repair without the customer's prior knowledge and consent.


Illegal Activity
It is JML Technologies, LLC's legal responsibility to report illegal activity found within the customer's computer and brought to the knowledge of JML Technologies, LLC employees in the process of repairs and/or data backup within the scope of repair to the proper authorities.


Unauthorized Access
JML Technologies, LLC will only perform a repair on a computer that is legally owned by the customer. Only those computers presented to JML Technologies, LLC by the authorities with the appropriate legal order will be examined without the customer's expressed consent. JML Technologies, LLC reserves the right to reject any computer repair for any reason and is not required to provide explanation at the time of refusal. If JML Technologies, LLC suspects a computer brought in for repair is stolen property, it is JML Technologies, LLC's legal responsibility to report this suspicion to the appropriate authorities.


Information Storage
JML Technologies, LLC employees will never copy any personal information, software, or files that are outside the scope of repair without the customer's prior knowledge and consent. All backups of personal information, software or files that are made in the duration of the repair are destroyed before the customer's computer is returned to the customer, unless otherwise directed by the customer. In the event that the customer requests JML Technologies, LLC to back up certain information, only those folders to which the technician is specifically directed will be backed up. JML Technologies, LLC will never, under any circumstances, search customer file folders to find a specific file or file type. To protect both the customer's privacy and JML Technologies, LLC's legal responsibility, JML Technologies, LLC relies upon the customer to direct the technician to the exact folder the customer wishes to be backed up.


Policy Changes:
If we decide to change our privacy policy in whole or in part, we will inform you by posting a notice on our web site (www.jmltechservice.com). Those changes will go into effect on the date posted in the notice. The new policy will apply to all current and past customers of JML Technologies, LLC and will replace any prior policies that are inconsistent. This policy was updated December 2014.
